CUSTOMER PRICING NOTICE 
Independence Township Park, Recreation & Seniors will charge a processing fee of 2.75% + $0.30 on all credit card transactions and e-check.ACH payments. This processing fee is to cover the fees imposed by the credit card companies and financial service providers to authorize and complete transactions. This will fee will automatically be added at check-out.(Effective January 8, 2024)

CANCELLATIONS & CLOSINGS
Independence Township Parks, Recreation & Seniors reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient registration, school closings due to inclement weather, holidays, vacations, or other conditions beyond our control. Cancellations will be rescheduled if possible.

GENERAL REFUND POLICY 
The following policy and procedure has been created to ensure quality programming. 

Unless the program was cancelled by the Parks, Recreation & Seniors Department, a $10 service fee will be withheld on all patron requested refunds. No refunds will be issued for special events or one-day programs.  Sorry, no exceptions.

All refunds will be refunded in the form of an account credit, check or credit card.  Items must be refunded in the way they were paid, unless you are requesting an account credit.  No cash refunds will be given.  Check refunds will be issued according to the Township Finance Department’s bill-paying schedule, which may take 4-6 weeks. If the refund is less than $10, a credit will be posted to your account.  Account credits will remain on the customer’s account from one year from the date of the credit posting.

CLASSES
All refunds must be requested before the start of the second class meeting.  Refunds are pro-rated if requested after the first class. The cost of class materials cannot be refunded. There are no refunds after the registration deadline for classes that meet one or two times (i.e. CPR classes, safety classes). 

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
Customer requested refunds due to medical emergencies may be refunded at a pro-rated rate, upon request.  Patron must produce doctor’s note.  No administrative fees will apply.
