WeWalk - Monica Chan (Older Adult Services)
- 105 Gibson Centre, ALI, we heard this call and responded to those who live alone among our 700 ALI members. ALI-trained TeleCare volunteers tried to support to ensure older adults have what they needed. All older adults should be treated with respect and dignity during these times. In May, ALI started the online classes to occupyy them online to do exercises, to learn Chinese culture, to attend health care talks amid pandemic, and opened the helpline to listen to their feeling and frustration. Care and support are offered when they needed assistance. ALI heard a louder voice from different ethnic group older adults in the community. Who is going to offer them the tender Wholistic Care!
- I understand supporting and protecting older adults living alone in the community is our 105 Gibson ALI business. I sincerely invite you joining us to reach out to the ethnic group older adults who is still struggling in the dark and cold corners. Many are waiting for your help.
