As we navigate these early days of 2025, it’s certainly worth reflecting on the remarkable strides we've made in 2024. And so, we are thrilled to share with you the innovative releases and updates of SmartRec that elevated the experience for all throughout last year. As we continue to provide community leaders and business professionals with the tools they need to thrive, let's take this opportunity to highlight certain milestones and achievements that made the year memorable.

This year, we continued our focus on staying ahead in security measures to safeguard your data and maintain your trust.

Security as a Top Priority

At the core of our platform is a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of security and compliance. This year, we continued our focus on staying ahead in security measures to safeguard your data and maintain your trust. As a service provider entrusted with cardholder data, we have diligently adhered to the PCI Data Security Standard, a crucial aspect you may well be familiar with at this point. Your help in completing the PCI compliance assessment has played a significant role in enhancing both our security and yours as an organization. Moreover, we introduced the option for logging into your Amilia account using your Microsoft credentials. With Single Sign-On functionality, powered by Microsoft, the login process for admins and staff is now better and more secure than ever. The integration with Microsoft's Single Sign-On not only ensures enhanced security but also allows for Multifactor Authentication, offering better control over access to sensitive data.

Access Management Redefined

In the realm of access management, we introduced two new features that aim to streamline processes and enhance security protocols. The access waiver feature presents a fresh new way of collecting consent from participants who may have missed providing it during registration. This feature, tied to specific access points, allows participants to conveniently give their consent through an access waiver form, directly at self-serve kiosks, ensuring compliance and safety.

Additionally, the Access Picture feature brings an additional level of security by allowing administrators to have verified client photos for identification and monitoring purposes. This added layer of security prevents unauthorized access and helps to maintain the integrity of access management, especially in high-traffic facilities.

Innovations in Billing and Tagging

Impressive enhancements in billing capabilities now allow for online refunds of eCheck payments directly in the client billing section, much like refunding credit card payments. This eliminates the wait time once associated with offline eCheck refund methods, providing a more efficient and cost-effective solution for handling payments.

Furthermore, our updated Tags feature, particularly those impacting scholarships, now includes the option to assign expiration dates to tags. This improvement automates the removal of expired tags from client accounts, eliminating the need for manual audits. The introduction of the Client tag assignment report further assists in tracking tag assignments and expiration dates for more efficient management.

Empowering Learning through Courses

We were thrilled to launch the "Selling Birthday Parties in SmartRec" course in Amilia University. This course offers valuable insights and strategies to enhance facility booking and event management skills. All who join Amilia University can explore a wide range of courses designed to refine your skills or onboard new staff members, all as part of our commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Collaborating with Strategic Partners

In 2024, we forged new partnerships that bring added value to our users by offering integrations and features that complement SmartRec. Among our top three partners are:

Ankored: Facilitating quick and efficient screening of staff, volunteers, and coaches to ensure community safety.

ActiveXchange: The partnership between Amilia and ActiveXchange integrates Amilia's recreation management software with ActiveXchange's data intelligence services, providing community organizations with data driven actionable insights to enhance member engagement, operational efficiency and reduce member churn.

Cyberimpact: Enhancing email marketing efforts by syncing participant contact information, enabling personalized and effective communication. This integration is bilingual, offering support in both French and English.
