Jacob began his journey at Amilia in an Inside Sales role, where he quickly saw an opportunity to contribute to something bigger. Since then, he’s taken on multiple evolving positions allowing him to deepen his impact and grow professionally.

And that’s exactly what he’s done. From pioneering new roles to working directly with clients to solve real-world challenges, Jacob’s path reflects what’s possible in a culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and impact.  

Building Something Bigger

Jacob joined Amilia in October 2018, drawn by its unique culture and untapped potential. “There was this energy—like something big was about to happen,” he recalls. “Right away, it felt like a place where people genuinely cared.”

Jacob began his journey at Amilia in an Inside Sales role, where he quickly saw an opportunity to contribute to something bigger. Since then, he’s taken on multiple evolving positions—including Sales Development Representative (SDR) and now Solutions Engineer, each one building on the last and allowing him to deepen his impact and grow professionally.

“I loved that I could build something lasting,” Jacob shares. “From crafting the SDR role to now helping clients find the best solutions, every step built my toolbox.”

That toolbox combines product knowledge with human-centered sales approach. “I see myself as a consultant, not just a salesperson. I’m here to understand our clients and guide them, even if we’re not the right fit.”

It’s an approach rooted in trust, problem-solving, and creating real value for the communities Amilia serves.

Driving Impact, One Client at a Time

As a Solutions Engineer, Jacob spends much of his time working directly with prospective clients, whether it’s leading in-person demos, attending tradeshows, or visiting organizations on-site. These moments aren’t just about showcasing the platform—they’re about building trust, understanding real challenges, and creating meaningful connections.

For Jacob, the most rewarding moments come when clients recognize the difference Amilia can make. “When I see how our platform truly makes life easier—for both organizations and their members, it’s incredibly rewarding.”

One standout experience was an on-site visit with a large community organization. “It wasn’t just about demos. We got to see their day-to-day operations and understand their challenges firsthand. That’s when they saw the value we could bring, and we saw just how much of a difference we could make.” 

Collaboration at the Core

Jacob’s role lives at the intersection of teams. From Product to Professional Services, Customer Support to Client Success, he collaborates across departments to ensure that every client experience is seamless.

“Closing a deal at Amilia isn’t just a one-person job,” Jacob explains. “Whether it’s onboarding, support, or product, everyone plays a role in demonstrating the value we bring. Clients don’t just buy a platform, they buy into the people behind it.”

Jacob often loops in Implementation Consultants to ease concerns around change management, invites product managers to validate technical feasibility, and works closely with customer support to address nuanced client needs. “We bring in the right people at the right time so clients feel confident that we understand them, and that we’ve got their back.” 

Amilia's supportive environment helped Jacob evolve in his role, surrounded by mentors and teammates who encouraged growth and collaboration. His journey reflects what Amilia’s all about, making an impact, growing together, and supporting communities.
