Can you describe your professional background and the path that led you to Amilia?

"I started as a solo developer right after university, which was a great learning experience. Later, I spent a decade transitioning into management, honing my leadership skills and guiding diverse teams," Philippe shares.

With years of experience in dynamic tech environments, Philippe helped companies establish new management structures and processes. His experience set the foundation for his current role, where he saw an opportunity to bring his skills and passion for growth to a company aligned with his values.

What attracted you to Amilia, and why did you join our team?

"When I was looking for a new challenge, I had two main criteria: the company’s values and its people. Amilia’s mission aligned perfectly with my own professional and personal beliefs.”

He further explained that Amilia’s work resonates with his passion for building impactful technology. Amilia simplifies activity and membership management for over 1,500 organizations, including small businesses, community centers, nonprofits, and Parks & Recreation agencies. As a father, Phil also appreciates the flexibility that Amilia's software gives parents; no more long lines and payments by check for recreational activities!

Philippe added that building strong connections was important to him:

"I want to work with people I can connect with, learn from, and help grow. When I met Amely, Frédéric, and Alexis, we immediately clicked, and I felt that Amilia was a place where those relationships could thrive.”

How did the product training during your onboarding process help you settle into your role at Amilia?

Philippe highlights the product training as a key part of his smooth and engaging onboarding. "The training process at Amilia is incredibly thorough and supportive. The product training, led by Ryan, was a standout—he ensures that every new hire understands the product deeply and how it fits into the company’s mission."

At Amilia, every employee undergoes a detailed product training program designed to not only cover the technical aspects but also illustrate how the product benefits clients and aligns with the company’s mission. "This approach helps team members see the bigger picture and understand how their work contributes directly to our goals," Philippe adds.

What do you find most distinctive about Amilia’s work culture, and how has it impacted your experience so far?

Philippe describes culture as a complex and important concept that he is passionate about. At Amilia, he appreciates how each team and department has its unique way of operating while still contributing to the larger company culture.

"There’s a real sense of ownership here—people take responsibility for their work and are always willing to support one another."

He emphasized the balance Amilia maintains between growth and employee well-being. "There’s a lot of momentum and energy as the company grows, and while there’s an emphasis on driving progress, Amilia makes it a priority to ensure that employees maintain a healthy work-life balance."

What do you enjoy most about being part of the team at Amilia, and what are you looking forward to?

Philippe is excited about the dynamic environment at Amilia and the collaborative spirit he’s experienced so far. "I love how open everyone is to new ideas and ways of working. There’s a lot of energy and enthusiasm within the team, and it’s motivating to be part of a group that values growth and innovation."
