Jamie's career at Amilia began in 2017, following a pivotal moment of transition. With a background in sales within the telecommunications sector, Jamie was uncertain of his career path and had not yet ventured into the tech world. Encouraged by his sister’s positive experience on Amilia’s sales team, he took a leap and applied for a position in Customer Support.

Adjusting to a tech company came with surprises. The open office, communal seating, and playful moments—like impromptu foosball games between calls—starkly contrasted the traditional office environment he had known. “Being part of daily standups and consistent team check-ins kept me engaged and informed. It wasn’t just work; it was a community.”
Building Foundations: From Customer Support Specialist to Implementation Specialist
Jamie’s journey at Amilia is a story of growth fueled by curiosity, ambition, and a supportive company culture. Starting as a Customer Support Specialist, Jamie quickly developed skills in client communication and problem-solving, experiences that would prove foundational for his next role as an Implementation Specialist. “In customer support, I learned how to listen, connect, and respond to client needs,” Jamie recalls. “It was challenging but gave me the confidence to take on more technical responsibilities.” With encouragement from his managers, Jamie took the leap to become an Implementation Specialist. In this role, Jamie began working on projects that would help shape Amilia’s implementation strategy for years to come.

Growth and Responsibility: Transitioning to Project Coordinator with Amilia’s Support
Jamie’s desire to further develop led him to explore project management, and Amilia supported him every step of the way. The company sponsored his training and certifications in project and change management, providing the time and resources he needed to upskill.

This support helped Jamie step into his next role as Project Coordinator, where he took on more responsibility, managing complex projects from start to finish. Leading major early projects for clients like Grapevine Parks & Recreation Department and Miles Nadal JCC, Jamie faced new challenges, but the mentorship and guidance from his team were always there.
“These projects taught me the power of teamwork and resilience and showed me the impact we could have when we dedicate ourselves fully to the client’s success.”
Gaining Perspective and Impressions of Amilia Today
In 2021, Jamie chose to step away from Amilia to explore new opportunities and gain fresh perspectives. This time away reminded him of what he valued most about the company. “I wanted to see what else was out there, but I quickly realized that what we have at Amilia is rare,” he shares.
When he returned in 2024, Jamie rejoined as an Implementation Consultant—a role he specifically chose because it allowed him to work hands-on with the software and closely support clients. “It was amazing to see the growth in processes while knowing the supportive culture was still the same,” Jamie reflects.
Jamie emphasizes how the company’s commitment to its people has only grown stronger.
“The structure and processes are more refined, which makes the work more efficient. The passion, collaboration, and supportive culture are still very much present.
